Our Founders
Clinicians, researchers, and strategists who've spent our careers closing gaps other systems overlook - now closing this one together.
Christine Arlett
Christine Arlett spent nine years working in the nonprofit sector before moving into strategy and analytics - a shift that now sits at the center of how she leads at H.I.R. She currently serves as a Business Strategy Analyst Lead at USAA, where she works in strategic business insights, using data and causal analysis not just to report on what happened, but to change how people think and what they decide to do next. She holds a Master of Public Administration and has stayed closely connected to the nonprofit world.
As Co-Executive Director, Christine brings that rare combination of nonprofit-sector fluency and private-sector analytical rigor to H.I.R.'s operational foundation — building the systems, structure, and evidence-based decision-making that will let the organization scale responsibly as it grows.
Co-Executive Director
Alyson Cadman
Alyson Cadman is a physical therapist, organizational development leader, and executive coach who has spent her career building systems that help people and organizations grow. She currently serves as Senior Director of Organizational Effectiveness at Confluent Health, a national rehabilitation healthcare company with roughly 9,000 employees across 30+ states, where she built the company's learning and development function from the ground up and now leads leadership development, clinical development, and coaching programs across the organization.
Alyson began her career as a practicing physical therapist and clinic director, giving her a first-hand understanding of the gap between clinical care and the systems meant to support it — a gap she has spent the last decade working to close. She holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification, and credentials in organizational development and ICF executive coaching. As Co-Executive Director of H.I.R., she brings that same systems-building instinct to closing the gap in equitable, research-backed hormone health care.
Co-Executive DirectorFounding Clinical DirectorCorin Reyes
Corin Simone Reyes was born and raised in San Antonio and still lives on the same block she grew up on - community, for her, has never been an abstraction. She followed in the footsteps of her mother, one of the first Black graduates of UT Health San Antonio's School of Nursing, and has built a 17-year nursing career of her own, beginning as an LVN and advancing to Family Nurse Practitioner. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from South University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Schreiner University, and is a Certified Community Health Worker through the Texas Department of State Health Services, with additional training in social determinants of health, diversity and inclusion, trauma-informed care, and organizational health literacy.
Before her clinical career, Corin founded her own nonprofit supporting Black women through their natural hair journeys - work she describes as "hair justice" that grew into something larger: creating space for Black women to exist fully and without apology. During the pandemic, she partnered with Meals on Wheels and San Antonio Metro Health to deliver in-home vaccines to homebound seniors, an experience that opened her eyes to everything traditional healthcare misses — food insecurity, fall risk, isolation — and shaped the community-centered lens she now brings to H.I.R. as a clinician and founder.
Libby Castillo is the Director of Strategic Communications at Goodwill San Antonio, where she leads regional communications strategy, acts as organizational spokesperson, and has spent years telling the story of an organization built around second chances and community impact. Her background spans strategic communications and marketing roles at the American Red Cross, the San Antonio Zoo, and UTSA, giving her a broad view of how mission-driven organizations build trust and support across a community.
At H.I.R., Libby channels that storytelling and relationship-building experience into fundraising - helping donors understand not just what the organization does, but why it matters, and connecting H.I.R.'s mission to the people and institutions who can help it grow.

Founding Director of Marketing
Amanda Onochie is an Impact Strategist, Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) practitioner, and CBPR/PAR researcher with over a decade of experience helping nonprofits and community organizations build systems that actually work for the people they serve. A Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) and Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP), she is the founder and principal consultant of AB Community Development Solutions LLC, where she helps community organizations increase operational efficiency and drive sustainable change through hands-on consulting.
Amanda's approach is rooted in the belief that lasting change starts with the assets a community already has — not a deficit to be fixed from the outside. That philosophy, paired with her research background in community-based participatory methods, informs how H.I.R. approaches its own work: building care and research models with the communities they serve, not just for them.
